On the streets of Shantou

 

I finally started looking through photos from the trip I took to China this past November. Some of my favourite photos came from my mom's home town, Shantou in Guangdong province as it was the most enjoyable part of the trip for me. I met my aunt and her family there; she's one of my mom's older sisters and the only one in their family that stayed in Shantou. She has a store there in one of the markets, which I stood in front of to take this photo of her neighbour.

As a freelancer, I often forget about upcoming long weekends and stat holidays as I usually work through those days...just like today. However, in the spirit of this apparent holiday, I am posting my favourite photo of my own family. (I am not pictured as I accidentally took this picture while trying to set the timer on my camera).
